    Arma II (PC)

ARMA II is a game of reality fiction. The year 2009. It is a military simulation game for the PC developed by Bohemia Interactive Studio. The protagonists: soldiers special kind of special forces being established. The place: a former Soviet republic where it heats fictitious. ArmA II is like a tactical FPS with enemies to kill, vehicle use and much more.

Featuring the most realistic warfare gameplay to date; The ArmA II offers the opportunity to explore its highland area as well as the small Chernarusian island of Utes. More specifically, the ‘boot camp' missions are all available which act as tutorials for the game's many disciplines including helicopter flight, unit command and base construction. In addition, the full single player mission ‘Trial By Fire' from the main campaign and the multiplayer map ‘Mini Warfare', allowing ArmA fans the chance to trial three multiplayer modes are included in the demo. A selection of over 20 vehicles, more than 25 weapons and various soldier and civilian models will be included, although these represent only a fraction of those available in the retail version.

You're in the army now! ArmA II, this is not as nice as you might be thinking, although it is also fighting for a good cause. In this case to help Chernarus, a small imaginary country of the former USSR in the midst of political unrest. Separatist rebels have undermined the government and, inevitably, the tone goes up several notches. This region of the world being a true pepper that threatens to sneeze all over the region, a detachment of marines is sent there to restore some order. The geopolitical vision is a bit outdated, the concept of world policeman with the lead in the wing the past few years, but regardless, it serves the purpose of ArmA II. And avoiding falling into the fanatical militarism and bad political influences, the title is quite common, once free of its lattice.

    War, almost true

Walking in the path opened by the eldest of his rangers, ArmA II fully incorporates the unique concept created by Bohemia Interactive: simulator soldier. At the edge of the serious game, it is far below current productions. Put simply, imagine that this is a Battlefield in much more realistic, where the lower setting is taken into account. The sighting system surprise those familiar with Counter-Strike or Quake is much slower and less accurate. Impossible here to 500m gallop, jumping a barrier and to bring the fire in your mind... your soldier can not, it will be exhausted. We must manage breathing, wind speed, the decrease of the weapon, the distance of the target account. Each shot, each ball costs. Each exchange of gunfire can be fatal, and return home in bodybag is not an option.

    Arma left

Although they came from Eastern Europe, the Bohemia studio seems to have drawn some inspiration from the Vedas to the ergonomics of his game we need to Ganesh's brain to assimilate all keys and combination, as we must have the physical Shiva to get to play effectively. Driving a tank can not be, let alone fly a fighter plane. It is not GTA or Mercenaries. Tutorials are more than welcome, but feel at home requires many hours of play ArmA II is oddly paced, drawing its strength in tension than in ambient shootings. As in reality, you can not play alone and have to be up to the mark the rest of your squad, the poetically named Razor Team.

No question of frolic, isolation leads to disaster, especially if you are assigned to missions of trust, such as laser marking of armored enemies so that air removes them. You are asked a lot of things all the time: Arma II does not suffer the distraction and demands a total commitment from the player. Who, in reward, live large virtual thrills of fear as well as moments of action. Especially in multiplayer mode, a sector where ArmA II excels thanks to a large community of players. Find a server will not be a problem, do not eject them because we play as a newbie soldier among seasoned commandos is another.

    Alarma!

Demanding ArmA II is equally on a technical level. Graphically very detailed with incredible care, this game requires a more robust than to turn to a visually satisfying with decent screen resolution. Y play with all graphics options at most - and there is a good package - is now reserved for a wealthy microcosm. Unfortunately, the requirement stops the equipment used: the code of the game is much more buggy it should be. A constant in Bohemia, but, fortunately, the developer follows the product closely and regularly patch fixes many problems. It is not yet perfect, but improvements are already visible in the first update is already available.

Elitist but immersive, ArmA II will not disclose its full potential as more fierce. It's a shame that a game as well thought out in its concept remains tight due to a heavy interface. But such is the price to pay for realism.
