    Design of Sony Cybershot w150

Sony Cybershot w150 has 8 megapixel camera which can be described as ultra-compact. It weighs only 170 grams (along with the battery and memory card Memory Stick Pro Duo). Its main parameters: 94 mm in width, 58 millimeters in height, plus the depth of 23 millimeters. Through the display and lens, a few prominent above the surface of the device, the camera looks a bit larger than it really is.

Design of the camera is very functional. The size of the LCD display enlarged to 69 millimeters (2.7 inches), but this does not prevent the user to quickly and easily use it near the navigation buttons. Above the screen is an optical viewfinder, so if necessary you can turn off, and it does not bring you any major functional problems. The mode dial and various buttons are extremely small. We occasionally had trouble depressing the buttons, especially Menu and Display, which are very close to the raised LCD monitor. The power button is flush with the camera surface and difficult to find by touch alone.

Through the Menu key, you get access to the contextual settings, while the button "Return to the original position" (Home) can take advantage of all the options the camera. At first, this is a bit puzzling, but, in fact, this proved a very convenient solution. The rechargeable lithium-ion battery and Memory Stick Duo media card fit securely and easily in the bottom of the camera. The battery charger is about the same size as the camera but practically featherweight, and it plugs directly into a wall outlet.

Design and conclusion of Sony Cybershot w150 Digital camera

    Image quality Sony Cybershot w150

Image quality is where the Sony Cybershot DSC-W150 really shines. When photographing objects that are in motion, W150 provides continuous shooting at speeds of up to 1.9 frames per second. This is a significant indicator for the camera in this class. So high speed is maintained for consistent shooting nine frames, but with additional maps of this figure can be increased. The W150 offers sensitivity settings from ISO 80 to 3200, which is quite high for a small point-and-shoot. Noise becomes noticeable at ISO 800 and ghastly at 3200, but it’s nice to have the option if you need to take pictures in very poor lighting conditions. Approaching objects happens smoothly. Special feature optical image stabilization helps reduce blurred photos. A full nomination of the lens, however, may cause so-called tubby and distortions, which, however, not surprising for this model camera. The relatively poor image quality - a tangible lack of W150, which, incidentally, applies to all models of ultra thin cameras. In most cases, accurate color, but when shooting at an open space. he camera shoots video with a resolution of 640x480 at a speed of 30 frames per second. When shooting video, unfortunately, the option of approximation can not be used. But you can use the option of optical image stabilization.

    Conclusion

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W150 can be safely described as ultra high-quality camera. The lens on its characteristics, of course, far from the lens Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5 with 10-fold increase, but operates much faster. The quality of images is not comparable to pictures produced on Canon SD880 IS. But the price of W150 is slightly lower compared to other vehicles this market segment. It is better where soft features are concerned, on balance I feel that the Sony has fairly earned a strong, if not a completely resounding, recommendation on the basis of solid performance and high image quality. So long as you know its quirks, there's very little here to get in the way of consistently excellent photos.

    Positive points:

    • Fast AF, no perceptible shutter lag.
    • Higher ISOs clean and usable.
    • Enough playback tools to keep you entertained for awhile.
    • Truly impressive battery life.

    Negative Points :

    • Red channel clipping a real problem.
    • Auto white balance is disappointing indoors.
    • Flash shots full of red eyes.
    • Menus still complex, confusing, and laggy to page through.
