    Samsung NC20 NETBOOK

The NC20 is a 12-inch Netbook, evolution of NC10, which embeds a VIA Nano processor instead of Intel Atom perennial.

After the success of NC10, Samsung's tries his fate with NC20, a lot less mobile and more expensive, but wider and more comfortable.

    The promise

Samsung typed by surprise in the world with its NETBOOK NC10, quickly become a leading model of the class to finish so that its autonomy. Echoing the same design and stretching from 10 to 12 inches, the Korean brand has declined in the name of NC20 with the technical base for Nano, low CPU consumption of the brand Taiwanese VIA. Another model of excellence?

    Re: Samsung NC20 NETBOOK

    The reality

One is almost tempted to redirect you to our article dealing with the case of NC10 and you say "It's almost all the same." It would be pure laziness, but would not be far from reality: the two machines are almost similar. The NC20 having eaten a little more soup ...

Sobriety and Conservation Assessment Standard equipment of NETBOOK -1 GB of RAM, 160 GB hard drive, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. How to blame as the Samsung NC10 was a success! It was therefore entitled to a very simple machine, with its own, surrounded by chrome on the lower block. There are a flat screen, ensuring readability in all circumstances, the logos that allow, at a glance, know where the catch without having to bend to the side of the device.

    More space: more comfort

Two more inches of it, of course, more weight in the balance, but also the opportunity to offer a higher resolution screen and a keyboard more comfortable. An opportunity seized as typing on the keyboard of NC20 is made more pleasant and 1280X800 pixels of the slab does not force, as is the case with the NC10, its windows to adjust the time. We have the pleasure of using an ultraportable 12-inch standard.

    More performance ... in theory

The Nano does better when tested synthetic platform VIA (including processor, chipset and graphics chip S3) is 130 points 3D Mark 2006, a performance test of 3D cut for the game a low score but 60% more efficient than the majority of NETBOOK (80 points average). A result after all theoretical because in reality, does not appear to increase significantly in use and performance in games are still very limited to very basic 3D.

Good colt, a little less patient than the NC10

Following our protocol test NETBOOK - it captures the flow of 2 sites of online music with lots of flash banners seeking permanent processor and bandwidth Wi-Fi-NC20 took the 3:30, a period less than the NC10 or Asus 1000HE, however good, given the larger screen. In Word and Wi-Fi, it should take a good hour, making it still a good move.

    At the limit of NETBOOK

12 inch, 1.5 kg and Rs. 32500 the NC20 is the limit of NETBOOK. In our paper we Low-cost, size, autonomy, is what in just a NETBOOK? It points that the proliferation of variations makes confusing the limits of the genre. Limits that can be reached with almost NC20.

    NC20 with low cost?

Heavier than the models 10 inches and less well equipped than standard laptops, the NC20 has, we believe, a reason for being. To offer a true comfort working with a platform for modest performance, but low cost.

    The truth

The NC20 does not shine as much as the eldest son NC10: the effect of surprise is gone, it is somewhat more expensive and slightly heavier. But the machine has the strength for it a very competitive price for an ultraportable and a true portable comfort. A good travel PC for those who are still too close to 10 inches.
