After the Mini 9 Dell offers new model, the Mini 12. As its name suggests, the latest addition to Dell offers a 12-inch screen, larger than the 10-inch which found on the netBook.

Design

The Mini 12 has same design as the Mini 9. The identical glossy black coating floor with thinness .Available in black with respect to the outer body.Gray plastic of good quality used around the keyboard and the screen which pleasant to the touch.The area left with 2.8 cm thick and even feet including 6 mm for the front cover.

The most noticeable point of the Mini 12’s design is its thin stature which make it in ultra-portables.The Mini 12 is longer and wider than such 10-inch systems Measuring 11.8 x 9.0 x 0.9 inches at its thinnest. Its starting weight of only 2.72 lbs .

Display

With standard 12.1-inch WXGA (1280x800) display you can also enjoy online videos, music and games in ways that just aren't possible with smaller netbooks.Glossy screen makes all the difference to the netbook and experienced the brightness of the screen is fairly good which limit some of this discomfort of netbook. However big satisfaction for the resolution offered by this screen, because where most netBook displays a screen of 1024 x 600 pixels but here its definition of 1280 x 800.

keyboard and Touchpad

Unlike the Mini 9’s keyboard, the Mini 12 contains a dedicated row of Function keys, and the right Shift key has been slightly expanded. Here, all the keys are in their place, Enter and Backspace sizes were very comfortable.

It is at least consistent with the simplicity of the device. where period and comma keys have been shrunk to make room. Overall the keyboard has provided nice feedback.

The touchpad is suddenly large much larger than on any other NETBOOK and spacious and has a slightly textured surface.Its large size and its position just below the keyboard.Below touchpad two mouse buttons located ,and clicked easy so good feedback.

Dell Mini 12 is equipped with an Intel Atom Z530, which is replacing the N270. Same operating frequency, the same amount of L2 cache (ie 512 KB), even fine engraving (45 nm) but a TDP and an operating voltage still revised downwards compared to the Atom N270.
