Ad hoc wireless connection between XP and Vista?
Hope you guys understood my problem from the subject line. Here is the scenario. I have a Desktop running with Windows XP and a Laptop with Vista. Desktop is connected with Wired broadband connection. I wanted to know whether if I buy and install wireless PCI card on my XP desktop, would it be possible to create an ad hoc network connection to the laptop? If yes, please let me know how.

Yes you can also use Zero Connection after installing the Wireless Card. In order to do this click Start > Control Pane > click Network and Internet Connections > Click Network Connections > right-click Wireless Connection > click Properties. Here check all options and you will be able to share the connection.

Hello Nickason. Yes it is possible to set this setup without a router but to do the same you will require to Configure the Host which the other computer will access the internet through it.Here are some article which will help you through out the process:
