XP restarts everytime I log in - help!
Whenever I log int to Windows XP after some seconds the whole computer will restart. I dont get any error message. The screen will just go black and restarts back to the log in screen. It will happen everytime and there is not variation in time amount before restart. Does any have any solutions for this weird issue? Thanks.

Can you log into safemode and try system restore. If you know when this started is there a restore point before that time.? Otherwise you may need to do a repair install, do you have a XP disk.

Because you are not able to boot in Safe Mode, you need to find out what application, process, or driver is being loaded that prevents the computer from booting into normal mode. In Safe mode, you might want to check the Application and System branches of Event Viewer for clues. Event Viewer can be accessed through Control Panel -> Administrative tools. Can you go into control panel > system > advanced > remove x from 'restart on failure' so you can view the error.

Thanks for the reply, it actually started just recently and I am using Trend Micro Virus protection and it had been doing somethinsg in the days before and then this just suddenly happened.
