windows media player 11 not recognizing blank disc
Using Vista with WMP 11. Everything is working fine except one thing, burning DVDs. Whenever I insert a blank disk and try burning with Windows Media Player, it keeps on saying me to enter blank disk in the drive. Remember, disks are already blank.
To test the disks, I ran Nero and burned the DVD fine. Why windows Media player is not able to recognize the disks a blank? I can I fix it?
Re: windows media player 11 not recognizing blank disc
Which disk are using? I mean is it Direct 2 Disc or DLA? Also have you enabled the setting named “treat the optical disc as a mounted disc”? Meanwhile, you can also try updating CD burner Drivers. Many times such problem occurs due to the drivers as well.

Hey thanks for the suggestion JUSTICE. BTW, can you please tell me where can I get the “treat the optical disc as a mounted disc” setting? Also I checked the CD burner properties to disable DLA or Drag2Disc. From where do you do this also?
