Media player won't burn to CD, while other programs work OK

I have some .mp3 files and when i am trying to burn them on to a CD using Windows Media Player than i am getting an error message saying "It is not possible to burn this list of files because all of the files have errors or are missing burn rights. To learn more about the problems, click the icon next to each file in the burn list". When i click on those icons and open the file than i see a message under "media usage rights" saying "This file is not protected." I don't have any issue in burning same mp3 file using Nero 8, don't know what's wrong with Media Player.

Have you tried adding them to library or playing them before burning them to CD? If not than try adding them to the library. Some times files need to be rectified with time duration and all. I have face similar issue with some mp3 files in my case but after i added them to the library and tried burning them, i dint got same error again and i was able to burn them successfully. Just try out what i have suggested and let me know if that helps.
