Re: multiple instances of 6to4 adapter in device manager
It sounds very strange. I’m a hardware guy but have never seen a single PC or laptop with multiple adapter instances ever. Can you just do one thing, can you take a screenshot of device manager showing those instances and send us the link after uploading the same on any image hosting sites like imageshack? It will help us understand the problem properly.
Re: multiple instances of 6to4 adapter in device manager
Well I’ll post the image later because somebody suggested me to disabled IPv6 support through the following registry key : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip6\Parameters DisabledComponents=dword:00000011. I did the same and also deleted all 6TO4 adapter entries in device manager. Now when I check Device manager, I have the following under Adapter Section:
Intel(R) 82562V-2 10/100 Network Connection
WAN Miniport (SSTP)
WAN Miniport (IP)
WAN Miniport (IPv6)
WAN Miniport (L2TP)
WAN Miniport (Network Monitor)
WAN Miniport (PPPOE)
WAN Miniport (PPTP)
But it remains until my IPv6 is kept disabled. If I enable it, I keep getting 6 to 7 instances of 6TO4 adapter. Any help?
