Importing email from Thunderbird to Windows mail
I have been using Mozilla thunderbird from past 3 months as my default email client for various Pop3 accounts. Now due to some reason I need to switch to Windows Mail. So I wanted to know how can I easily import everything from thunderbird to Windows mail?
Please suggest me the easiest way of doing the same. Thank you.
Re: Importing email from Thunderbird to Windows mail
The most easiest way of doing the same is via an thunderbird Addon named “ImportExportTools’. Just download the addon from here, install it in Thunderbird from tools and export. That’s it.
Now in Thunderbird, go to Tools - Import/Export in mbox/eml format - Export all messages in thefolder - EML format. Once done, open Windows Mail, go to File - Import - Messages - Windows Live Mail. Select the folder location you saved the files and import.
Re: Importing email from Thunderbird to Windows mail
Hey guys, I need a similar kind of help. Actually am having a PC with dead motherboard where I was using Thunderbird earlier. Fortunately its Hard drive is working and i have the Thunderbird files on the same but I don’t know here exactly does it saves the files and folders. Can you please tell me what is the default store location of Thunderbird ?
Re: Importing email from Thunderbird to Windows mail
I was using it very long ago so I don’t remember exactly the location but it should be somewhere at C:\Users\(youraccount)\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles. Here see if there is any folder named something like inbox or so which sounds like email folders.
