movie maker, it tells me that i do not have the required codec to play the
video. im trying to make a short movie for a school project and i do not know
which codec to get. i have no idea what to do or how to get it. help?
Re: Codecs on windows media player (.MOV)
..mov files it will play on QuickTime Player or Irfanview (both free)
Re: Codecs on windows media player (.MOV)
so if i have quicktime, then i will be able to work with the .mov file on
windows movie maker?
Re: Codecs on windows media player (.MOV)
No, that´s a different story, you have to convert your mov files.

or

or
Google yourself on convert mov

Re: Codecs on windows media player (.MOV)
Donna we can go back and forward like this all week...it seem you need a
dose of wikipedia..I'm not rying to be a smart arse here it's just that
it where I started to research various video file formats and how mind
boggingly confusing it can get.
Look up the codec section in wiki....
Also Donna...go to the Kodak easy share website and see if you download
the required codec.
The LAST thing you want to do is to install one of those free Mega
Codec Packs
