Toshiba inbuilt WebCamera locked by another application error

My friend has borrowed my laptop for some use. He returned the same back last night. I use MSN and Skype for video chat. I do not understand what he did to the system. When I try to start the camera I am getting a error that the camera is locked by another application. What does the error means. I had restarted my system and checked but still the error is same. I cannot find any related support to fix the problem. I am not sure this is some kind of driver problem.

If you have the driver disc with you then you can re-install the camera. It looks the camera is used by some application. Go on Task Manager and see that you can find anything. Terminate the process if possible. Also go in Device Manager and then right click on the camera. Uninstall it. Restart your pc. You can then re-install back and fix your camera problem.
