Internet sharing between XP and Vista via bluetooth.
I am having a Airtel internet connection that I want to share between the laptop, which has vista and shouls work as a client, and the desktop, which has Windows XP and should work as the host, using bluetooth. Does anyone know how to do this things? Thanks
Re: Internet sharing between XP and Vista via bluetooth.
If your bluetooth represents itself as a Network NIC with the capacity to change the IP address, then you can use Windows ICS to share the same. To use Internet Connection Sharing to share your Internet connection, the host computer must have one network adapter that is configured to connect to the internal network, and one network adapter or modem that is configured to connect to the Internet. Follow the method given here - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/306126
Re: Internet sharing between XP and Vista via bluetooth.
Thank you for the website. Eventually, I have also found a way that worked for me as well. What I did was, just made a VPN using bluesoleil software and then connected the computers. After that i installed the AnalogX proxy to start the internet, and now it is working for me without any issues. Thanks anyways.
Re: Internet sharing between XP and Vista via bluetooth.
Hi,
Could you please let me know also how do I create a VPN? Instead of that you can also explain me the whole troubleshooting process in connecting the internet over bluetooth, which will be great. I have got a Desktop Computer with XP Service Pack 3 and a laptop that has Vista OS on it. Thanks for any suggestions in advance.
