I need some help with fixing Internet Explorer. I just installed Windows XP back from scratch. It looks to be working fine. But I cannot find Internet Explorer anywhere. I thought it comes pre-installed in XP. That is really weird. Whatever system I had seen till today has IE in it. I hope I am using the right edition of Windows XP here. I got the cd from my friend. Who told me that the OS does not requires any kind of activation.
You can get Internet Explorer from web. You can download that separately from the web and install it in your pc. I think you are using a slipstream edition of Windows XP due to which you did not find IE in the same. And as you said the device does not need any kind of activation then it is definitely a pirated edition of xp. You must wipe it out and get another version because there are chances that it might have virus.
I also think that your system is having a pirated version of XP. You can find out that by running windows update. When you run that you will get a WGA notification related to the software authenticity. Ample of people are using a slipstream edition of Windows xp where you can install your own drivers and browsers and setup just add everything saving lots of time.
