I am trying to install the update KB947821 in my Windows Vista operating system from serveral days and it doesnt seems to install on it. Usually, the installation starts properly and I also get a notification that the install was successful but when I check in the Windows Update page, then this same update keeps reappearing on the "new updates list". I think that this update is required in order to get the Service Pack 1 on our computer? Is there any solution for this?
You can try to install and run the System Update Readiness Tool to solve the error that you are getting when you use Windows Update. The tool scans for inconsistencies on your computer and fixes them as it's being installed. Although it typically takes less than 15 minutes to run the scan, it might take much longer on some computers.
