I tried both the options of "Advanced Network" checked and unchecked.
No success still.
The following are the devices which get added in each of the options.
Option "Advanced Network" Checked:
1)
Name: Generic RNDIS
Device Type: Network adapters
Mfg: Unknown
Location: Port_#0004.Hub_#0003
Error: No drivers are installed for this device.
Option "Advanced Network" Unchecked:
1)
Name: Generic Serial
Device Type: Mobile devices
Mfg: HTC
Location: Port_#0004.Hub_#0003
Error: Reinstall the drivers for this device. (Code 18)

Hi RamBilas,
Did you try installing Windows Device Center again? Also with it, have you tried reinstalling Active Sync? When I first received my HTC Touch Pro it would not sync. Again it would work as in drive mode but not to sync, and my active sync had worked with my previous mogul. I re-installed active sync and it connect right away.
