Bluetooth Peripheral device
I have a Compaq laptop that is running on Windows Vista. Whenever i right click on device manager's properties for "Other Services" and then "Bluetooth Peripheral Devices", I get the following driver error message that i am not able to solve:
"This device is not configured correctly. (Code 1)
There is no driver selected for the device information set or element.
To reinstall the drivers for this device, click Reinstall Driver."
I always get a pop-up message saying that I have to install the drivers for the device and when i click to find it on the net, i am not able to resolve it and then i get a prompt to insert the CD with the drivers which I am not having with me. Is there anything else i can do. Thanks for any help.
Re: Bluetooth Peripheral device
Try the below fix that was given on the microsoft site for solving the error code 1 problem in your laptop and see if it helps:
- First of all remove and then reinstall the device driver.
- After that on your Windows Vista system, make sure that the "Windows Update" service is running, if not then follow the below method:
- Click Start
- type services in the Start Search box, and then select Services in the Programs list.
- If you're prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type the password or click Continue.
- Under Name, locate the Windows Update service. Verify that the Service status is set to Started. If it is not started, click Start, and then click OK.
- On the File menu, click Exit to close the Services window.
