HELP ! WIndows media player 10 wont play video of DIVX 3 low motion codec
I got some problem with avi files playback in Windows Media Player 10. So I upgraded to WMP 11 but still I am having the same problem. The .avi file video is compressed using the Divx Codec Divx 3 and I have already install the latest version of DivX 6.80 in my pc. But when I try to play it on WMP 11 then I will get an error message that will say "Windows Media Player encountered a problem while playing the file". When I went to Web Help it says that I have a sound problem or that I dont have the correct codec installed. The sound is can be played in the background but the video doesnt appear. So, I tried using GSpot to troubleshoot this problem but the codec is Div 3 and I have Divx 3 installed. I then tried removing the Divx bundle and reinstall it again but that also did not work. Can anyone let me know how to fix this problem? Thanks

I heard in a news that there is a problem with the DIVX 6.8 codec bundle and their team is working to fix that software issue as soon as possible.
Re: HELP ! WIndows media player 10 wont play video of DIVX 3 low motion codec
I think that DIV3 is a new kind of random codec to use, so why dont you try to re-encode the content to use some other more valid codec? Otherwise you are free to use VLC media Player that will play all kind of video file format without any problem.
