Hey, I’m running a server with Exchange. The exchange server already has few custom attributes. Now due to some reason I need to add a new AD Custom Attribute called "Hiring Manager". So my question is can I use an existing one which is already available or I need to create a new one only? If I need to create a new one than please let me know how to do the same or how to assign a new attribute for HiringManager?

I’m not sure but I guess YES you can use the existing ones as well. Just go to Exchange, Click Advanced TAB under ADUC. Now click the custom attributes. Here most probably first and last two or three can be used if you run an upgrade. If I had to do the same I would have started at 4 and stopped at 12 but these are all available to you. See if helps you in any way.
I think creating UI to manage schema extensions is always a bit of a pain to deal with, although ADUC in 2K8 server includes a tab that shows the ADSI Edit view of things. :) It is one solution.
