If you use a trackpad on a laptop, you may find that Firefox scrolls back and forward through history as you move the mouse pointer over its window.
Solution
This behavior can be prevented in the Firefox configuration.
- Enter about:config into the address bar and press Enter.
- Search for mousewheel.horizscroll.withnokey.action.
- Double-click this item and set its value to 0.
- Search for mousewheel.horizscroll.withnokey.sysnumlines.
- Double-click it to change the value from false to true.
