I have found a slot at the side of my computer where i can plug the memory card from a camera, but when ever i plugging it the device is not working. The SD card in not recognized in my computer and when i go into device manager, it is not even listed there. I have tried unplugging and pluggind the card, restarting the pc but nothing seems to be working.
Well, i think that since it might be new SD Card, so you might have not formatted it, try to format it in the camera and then try to plug it in the slot of your computer. There should be a manual on how to format the card in your camera, so that it can be read in the computer. Other than that, if it still dosent work, then the card could be corrupted and you will need to but another one.
I had this problem recently and it took me a while to find out exactly what the issue was. My SD card recently stopped working on vacation and I couldn't use any software to recover the files as the card wasn't being recognized by any card reader. Eventually I found out that it was a physical problem with the controller inside the card. The only way to solve the issue is to access the memory chip inside the card manually.
