How do I export Windows Live email folders to Thunderbird?
I was using Windows Live Mail since a long time and having a backup of about 600MB. Now because I use to get new errors every week or so in Live mail, finally decided to quit Live Mail and move to thunderbird. Already installed the same but am not getting any way to move my Live Mail backup to Thunderbird. Can anyone please help me ?
Thank you.
Re: How do I export Windows Live email folders to Thunderbird?
There is a very easy way to import your entire windows live mail to thunderbird. It is an thunderbird extension named ImportExportTool. You can download the same from here: https://nic-nac-project.org/~kaosmos/mboximport-en.html
Just download the extension and for installation follow these steps:
- Launch Thunderbird, click Tools > Addons.
- Here on Extensions Tab click on Install Button.
- Now point the browser to the location where the downloaded extension is saved and click Open.
That’s it. Once the extension installed restart thunderbird and go to Tools again and click "Import eml files". Now follow the onscreen extensions and you will be done.
