I am using Windows Vista operating system on my pc and am new to it. Now the problem that I am facing is that, one day I ran diskeeper on it and then I dont know what happened because all of a sudden I lost 45 gb of hard disk space on my computer. I again ran the diskeeper thinking that it would bring back the space but it didnt. Now I dont know whether this problem arised due to the diskeeper or with something other. So, if anyone can help me it would be wonderful.
Do you know a way to use the System Restore feature and shadow copy features in your computer? They both can be deleted as part of a disk cleanup utility, you can get there by going to the more options tab. Also, you should know that you dont need the Restore Points and Shadow Copies before deleting them.
You can download a tool called SequoiaView which is a program that allows you to view space in the hard disk virtually on your PC. Each tree and the files it contains are represented by a cushion of shiny metal. Using this software, you can easily manage the disk space used. It can easily visualize large files that occupy memory. The analysis time used by SequoiaView is faster than Windows default software.
