I cannot use mouse click on my system. I am using Microsoft Word 2007. The left and right click fails to work in Word only, while it is working well on the desktop. I am using Windows Vista. Is there any settings provided in Word that cause such mouse lock. I do not think so. I checked everything but there were no mouse settings at all. Also I checked inside Control Panel > Mouse Settings. But it also did not helped much.
Many thanks for this remedy, it worked perfectly for me. MS Word was useless to me without this fix, and I would never have known what to do without forums like this. Thanks again!
This because of SnagItOffice Addin. You have to get rid of that. But somehow re-install Microsoft Office is a much better alternative and it will offer a stable office applications. It happens a number of time. You can try running a repair setup also.
I solved my "mouse not highlighting text" problem by eliminating all of the adds-ins as desribed above. However, when I close Word (2007, Vista Business) I receive an error message that says "Microsoft Office Word has stopped working." The system then closes and reopens Word.
This seems to indicate that there is some other underlying problem with the add-ins that is not corrected by the fix described above. Any thoughts?
