How to repair Window Vista Home Premium?
I did not make any changes on my computer. I start it up and get a message
from the Windows boot manager saying
Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the
cause.
Status: 0xc000000f
Info: Windows failed to start.load because the NLS data is missing or corrupt.
The Windows boot manager suggest inserting the Windows VISTA DVD and doing a
repair. The problem is that I did the upgrade using a download from Windows
Marketplace. I have no Vista DVD. What can I do? I tried all options in
the Windows Boot Manager. There are no repair options without the
installation disc.

Try booting with the F8 key or F12 key and see what your options are.
You should have a repair option or the option to use the "last known good
configuration."
I've never used Windows Marketplace. You may have the option to
redownload your OS onto a CD or DVD. I really don't know. Personally, I
refuse to buy a computer from a vendor that ships the computer without an
installation disk or recovery disk, because you can always use the disk to
reinstall the original OS.
Have a nice day.
RE: How to repair Window Vista Home Premium?
There are some things you can do that do not involve the Vista Install DVD,
but major repairs require the Vista DVD. Vista is truly incomplete without
the DVD. This tutorial will show you the sequential steps in Repair Vista
Options.
