I am trying to install a printer on my pc. It is a kind of temporary solution here. Now the printer is installed and configured on my pc. I want to share it with others also. It is on the lan network. It is working fine with my pc but there is some problem with other system. They are also having XP, but the printer fails to connect. I tried to add the printer but it fails to connect due to some IEEE print support failure.
Do one thing. Share the printer directly from your pc. Connect it first to your pc and then install it properly. Then go in printer and faxes and then simply share it with properly. Once it is shared others can access it through network places. Just tell other people to go in the network places look for your pc and right click on the shared printer and click on connect. That's all. The drivers will be installed automatically. This is the easiest way of sharing printer.
