Windows Server 2003 RPC Fails while trying to Join Domain

Hi, I am running A Windows Server 2003 RC2 server and am trying to add
it to the domain. When I try it gives this error message, "The
following error occurred attempting to join the domain "xxxxxxx": The
remote procedure call failed and did not execute." We have 4 physical
sites and among them we have 1 primary domain controller and 3
secondary domain controllers. I am having this problem at one of the
secondary sites. We also run ISA Server 2004 to filter our Thin
Clients through from the different sites. The site where i am trying
to join this server to the domain is the same site where the ISA
server is running on the secondary DC there. I had no trouble adding a
few Windows XP machines to the domain. Any ideas as to what might
cause this? Thanks for any help.

Be sure to disable all the RPC filters on the ISA server.

I checked the ISA server and removed any filters that were in place, I
still get that error though.

any more ideas on this?

Check that the machine is only pointing to the internal dns server.

I have encoutered the same problem.

The solution in my case:

Save isa server current configuration and uninstall.
Reinstall isa server 2004.
Restore the configuration.

Try to join domain.

To replay this error:

Install ISA Server in standalone 2003 server.
Configure your access rules.
Promote the server to domain controler.
Try to join a new computer to domain.

Et Voila !!! RPC Error
