Re: cannot uninstall programs
Hi, Shooter13.
First question: HOW are you trying to uninstall something?
Second question: What is "something"?
You should be able to uninstall just about any program by clicking Start |
Control Panel | Programs and Features. Is that what you are doing? You
didn’t say, and we can't watch your computer, so we have to ask.
Re: cannot uninstall programs
Try disabling User Account Control temporarily (Control Panel > User
Accounts > Turn User Account Control On and Off) > then attempt the
uninstall again.
Re: cannot uninstall programs
What are you trying to uninstall?
Was it pre-installed when you bought the PC?
Was Vista pre-installed or did you install it yourself?
Re: cannot uninstall programs
To add to the above, are you seeing any messages such as Access Denied?
Re: cannot uninstall programs
Goto Control Panel > User Accounts
The word "Administrator" should appear under your name.
If not, then you will need to log in with an administrator account.
