Failed to register PTR resourse record
Hi,
I get this message about once a day in my eventlog. The system seems to be working fine but I think it should be something that needs looking into but I don't know a lot about DNS.
The wierd part here is the sent update to server address. We don't have anything running in the 192.x range only 10.x range. Where would it have gotten that from?
I run ipconfig /all and it looks right.

The system failed to register pointer (PTR) resource records (RRs) for network adapter
with settings:
Adapter Name : {C2D247B2-FD81-424D-8A21-DA7499345CBE}
Host Name : HOST NAME
Adapter-specific Domain Suffix : Host Name.local
DNS server list :
10.0.0.2
Sent update to server : 192.175.48.1
IP Address : 10.0.0.4
The reason that the system could not register these RRs was because of a security related problem. The cause of this could be (a) your computer does not have permissions to register and update the specific DNS domain name set for this adapter, or (b) there might have been a problem negotiating valid credentials with the DNS server during the processing of the update request.
You can manually retry DNS registration of the network adapter and its settings by typing "ipconfig /registerdns" at the command prompt. If problems still persist, contact your DNS server or network systems administrator.

That IP is the internet blackhole server for private IP ranges. You either
have an external DNS in TCP/IP Properties, or you do not have a reverse
lookup zone.

ANSWER SECTION:
1.48.175.192.in-addr.arpa. 3599 IN PTR prisoner.iana.org.
