My Keyboard is locked up in all MS Office programs only

I’m using Office 2007 on HP Laptop since long time. Two days ago, while working with a word file I kept my laptop on my lap. Suddenly it slept from the lap and while preventing it falling down some keys got pressed (I don’t know which ones). Since then my keyboard is just not working in any of office application. Whether it is word, excel or power point, it wont allow me to type anything, wont allow me to open new document, nothing.

Can anyone please tell what caused this problem and how can I get rid of the same? I guess it can be fixed by re-installing but i'm away from home for a month and all discs are at home. Please help.

If the keyboard is working well in other programs except Office applications than obviously the keyboard is fine and problem is with Office suite itself. But also if some keys pressed while working on Word, it should not lock all other office programs. To me it sounds like you have an expired version of Office, not a malfunctioning keyboard. Check about the same.

Thank you very much for the help Eduard. Bt the way can you please tell how can I know if my Office suite is expired? As far as I know I bought this suite from Microsoft directly with product keys. It used to be the full version, how it can be expired.
