Error 1721. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package
One of my friend is having Japanese version of Windows XP. We are trying to install Office 2003 and Citrix on the same but every time the installation gets failed. It gives the following error message during the setup:
“Error 1721. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personal or package vendor.”
First we tried searching Microsoft and Google for help and on TechNet I found an article saying to re-registering the installer
service and one on running system file checker. We did the same but it dint helped. Do anyone of you guys have any idea about this? Please help.

SP2 doesn't help and it's not specific to Japanese as I have tried both the English version of Office (it works fine on another Japanese machine) and the Japanese version of Office 2000.
