I have some *.mov movie file and i am not able to play it in windows media player on my system running windows XP. I don't have any issue in playing the movie file in Quicktime player but i want to know if i can play it with media player by changing some settings and so.
It seems as if you are having QuickTime MOV files as it is getting played in QuickTime player. If it is so than i will like to inform you that QuickTime and Windows Media Player have different codecs. So i think you will have to continue playing those videos in QuickTime. I don't think there might be a workaround for getting it played on Media Player, Don't panic at least you are able to play the video.
You can try transferring those file in to some portable device supporting WMA format. If it converts them automatically than you will be able to play then in Win Media Player after that.
Trying to watch videos on Vista Media Center or Media Player 11 are not working.
Is there any way to do that?
