Is there a version of JAVA supporting windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit ??? If not than is anyone aware of the date when they will be rolling out? Actually i was thinking of updating to 64 bit os but i have heard java is only available for 32-bit os for now, is that true?
As far as i am aware JRE 6.0.2 is available for 64-bit but its plug-in is supported by 32-bit os only. If you are willing to upgrade to 64 bit Operating system than you will have to use 32-bit version of IE for using java plug-in or flash player.
JRE 1.6.12 has been released for x64, you can now install its plugin on 64 bit Operating system. One can download its offline installer form here.
