I am having WSUS 3.0 installed on Windows 2003 Server with SP2. Everything was working fine by now but i don't know why from some days it has been failing to download updates. I have gone through Event logs and i have seen below even its there:
Event ID: 10032 (The server is failing to download some updates.)
Event ID: 10022 (The last catalog synchronization attempt was unsuccessful.)
Any ideas whats going wrong in my case??
First check out your proxy server settings on WSUS and make sure that you are having correct configuration and you are using port 8080. If you don't think you are missing out anything like that then you can try restarting BITS service. As far as i can guess this error is related to incorrect configuration of proxy server settings.
unidentified is right, this error comes up when proxy server or firewall is not configured correctly. I have come across one who was facing same error and was able to sort it out by unchecking "Require authentication for unrestricted source addresses:" option from proxy server setting.
