I need some help with deployment of Office 2007 on different Windows XP SP2 system. There are number of workstations on my network. I am trying to configure the same through GPO. Now when I run the fresh setup I am getting process fail or timeout errors. I cannot work on this. I am still confused where to start from that can help me out.
First thing you have to do is contact Microsoft and ask them for their help. That is the place where you can get benefit. There might be some issue with internal msi files which are causing the problem. Ensure that you have full access to deploy the files and make it work proper. If you can mention the error here that you can see on your screen, then it will be more better. Or else simply go on Event Viewer. It has set of log files that will guide you for the problem.
The solution for that is to replace the fp4autl.dll file. This might be not proper. This file is located in the installation cd and you have to copy and replace the same under C :\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web ServerExtensions\40\Bin\. Or simply re-install Office back again and you can get the same working.

Try to re-install FrontPage 2002 Server Extensions. You can find that in Add/Remove Windows Components>Application Server>Details>IIS>Details. I got a very nice vide on technet that offers you a script option to deploy office 2007. Have a look on the same.
