Installing Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007
Yesterday I received the CD of Office Home and Student 2007 which I ordered last week. When I was trying to install the same on my new laptop setup went upto 13% and gave me the following error message:
“Error 1311: Source not found: D:/YI561403.CAB.
Verify that the file exists, and that you can access it.”
I tried running the setup thrice but the same result everytime. Somebody please help.

Hope you your CD/DVD drive is working fine and can read the CD properly. I’ll suggest you to give a try copying entire CD content to a folder on Desktop and run the setup from there. See if still you get the same error. If yes, then you will need to follow the solutions provided in this Microsoft Knowledge Base:
"Error 1311: cannot locate source file" error message when you install a 2007 Office suite or Office 2003
Re: Installing Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007
In 2008 I purchased two computers with the Vista operating system and loaded Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 on them using the provided CD (actually they were loaded for me by the Store I bought them from). The version I purchased permits me to place the program on 3 different computers.
Recently I purchased a small 11" laptop that doesn't come with as CD or DVD drive so most things are loaded off the net. It uses the Windows 7 Operating System.
The question I have is -- as I already own Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 -- is there a way I can load this 3rd version on my new 11" laptop -- and if so --how do I do that given that it doesn't have a CD or DVD reader -- and its using the Windows 7 operating system
