Unable to install Update for Microsoft .NET Framework, Version 1.1

I am able to download .net in my system but somehow the installation failed. I am trying to get Microsoft .Net framework. The version of that is 1.1 SP1. I had tried first that through automatic updates, but the same failed. Then I tried it through manual setup and still it does not worked well. I need some help here to deal with the issue. How can I install .net properly in my system without getting any errors. Thanks.

There are valid updates available for .net on web. You can download and check. Whta is the exact error that you are facing while downloading and installing the same. First try with a older update and then go with new one. There might be some internal problem with the updates due to which you are not able to get it installed.
