Ultimate Steal Download

I recently go a chance to access Microsoft 2007 Office Ultimate through The Ultimate Steal. Well I paid for the same and download a copy. When I tried installing it on my PC, it gave me an error message stating “The installation of this package failed.” I tried it again and again but the same problem. I download a fresh copy again but still getting the same error message.

I contacted Ultimate Steal for some help but they said me to contact Microsoft. I tried sending few mails to Microsoft as well but dint received any response yet. SO can anyone here please let me know what the problem with my Office or Computer is? How can I fix that error message?

To fix this problem we must first know the cause of the problem. Did you check the Event Viewer? Is there any log generated for this? Apart from this you should also check your temp folder for "setupxxxxxx.log"; also a "msinstall" log file for the real problem. Else use the toll free number & call Microsoft which I did prior to being informed that the product key can be substituted for the product id for email.

Thank you very much for your suggestions HELLIAN. Yet there is no reply from Microsoft for any of my Emails. Neither email support accepts my product key information. Anyways, as you suggested I'll get on the phone with toll-free support and let you know what happens.
