Microsoft Office 2003 installation source has been corrupted

Recently we bought three new systems for kids at my home, where two PCs are running with Window XP and one is with Vista. I also bought a Office 2003 Student and Teacher Edition and it was told that I can install it on three systems. Well I dint installed it on two systems (1 XP and 1 vista) successfully.

But there is a problem while installing it on third PC (XP). Whenever I run the setup I t quits itself saying me “Microsoft Office Setup cannot continue because the installation source has been corrupted.” What is meant by it is corrupted? I have bought it just 2 days ago. Can any one please explain me what kind of error this is and how can I fix it ?

The error message you have mentioned above (the installation source has been corrupted) usually appears when there is an incorrect version of the Microsoft XML Parser program installed on your computer. Are you sure the third PC is new, because the error may also occur if you were having trial version of Office 2003 or 2007 already installed don the system and that can be fixed by simply removing them. Anyways, if yours is new, I’ll suggest you to run Disk Cleanup wizard once and then start the installation.

Also not what is written in the Office 2003 Student and Teacher Edition End User License Agreement, that you cannot use this software on three PCs for commercial purpose. It is only for household use.
