Built in webcam problems
It is my brand new Toshiba A215-S4807 laptop running with Vista Home Basic. Everything is working fine except the built-in camera (webcam). Whenever I try to run this camera a pop up appears with the following error:
"Webcam driver open fail. Please restart camera or computer."
Though I restart the laptop, I keep getting the same message. Also If try to open the Camera Assistant Software, though I keep clicking it to open, nothing appears. Is someone having any experience of this ? Can you suggest me some fix ?

First of all go to Start , open control panel. Now go to Windows Defender, click Tools and Open Software Explorer. Here click option “Show for all users”. Now check if you can see any startup entry related to your webcam. If it is there, disable the same and restart the PC. Hopefully you wont be seeing that error again.
And if it occurs yet, simply go to your laptop’s official Toshibas page and download the very latest webcam drivers. And if you dint found any latest then simply re-install the installed driver. This will work.

Wow, that’s great fix buddy. Though the control panel fix dint worked, re-installing the drive fixed my problem.
Now there’s no more error and camera is working good. Thank you.
