RSM cannot manage library Tape0. The database is corrupt.
We are running a SBS server since many years. Recently we installed Symantec Backup Exec 11d and since then there is an error message which I see every day in Daily Performance Report. It is as follows:
“Removable Storage Service
15 10/13/2007 11:00 PM 1
RSM cannot manage library Tape0. The database is corrupt.”
Let me tell you that for Dailt Backup Job I use NTbackup, not Backup Exec. I use it only for backing up weekly jobs on tape. Any help on this please?
Re: RSM cannot manage library Tape0. The database is corrupt.
As you said the problem started since you installed Symantec Backup Exec 11d, so its sure the problem is most probably somewhere related to Symantec itself, isn’t it?
Did you contacted Symantec regarding this? What did they said?
Re: RSM cannot manage library Tape0. The database is corrupt.
Thank you for replying my query. No I dint called up Symantec so far but will do that soon. Meanwhile whiel searching on Google for this, I found some people saying to STOP and DISABLE the service. But I don’t think they are correct as NTbackup uses this service.
Any advice on this?
