I need some help to view mdi and tiff files. I am using Microsoft Office 2007. I had tried to open those files directly but it looks that the system is not able to locate which application to use for opening it. In Microsoft Tools I can find Document Imaging. But somehow it does not work really well. How can fix this problem. I want to view mdi and tiff files.
You can open that in Microsoft Office Document Imaging. There are two ways to set the default program for mdi file. First right click on the file and choose open with. There you can see Office Document Imaging tool. If not then click on Choose Program and from that select the tool. Next is go in control panel and check out Program Access Defaults. There you can assign the program based on file extension and save the settings.
When you right click on the file and click on Choose Program from list, at the bottom you can find a tiny check mark. Always use this program. Click on that and then only open. Once you had applied the settings the files will open in Document Imaging Tool only. This is one of the most easiest way to fix file extension type issue. And if still this does not work then it is recommended that you must run a repair setup of Microsoft Office and check back.
