Windows Mail Error 0x800CCC0E

I am using Windows Vista 64 Bit Edition, I am trying to setup a new email account with windows mail. I haven't found any issues with the setup and configuring it, now when I am trying to send a new mail I am getting a error message, please check the below error message.

The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'Test Message.', Account: 'pop-server.xxxx.rr.com', Server: 'smtp-server.tampabay.rr.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10061, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

Even I am not able to send and receive mail. I am getting the same error again and again, Can you please how I can rectify this problem.

According to the error message you mentioned above, it seems like your POP3 and SMTP server names are wrong. You need to check them properly. Or search the web for proper settings regarding them .

Also just make sure that Email Scanning features I Disabled in your security program installed on computer.

Yeah, i too suspect the same. Just check this:
POP3 is the pop-server.satx.rr.com
And SMTP is smtp-server.satx.rr.com

You will do it this way and make it whatever your city and state is. EX:
pop-server.tampabay.rr.com is the POP3
smtp-server.tampabay.rr.com is the SMTP

Check the smtp settings. Are you using your ISP's smtp settings or another such as yahoo or your own domain?
