Vista error message 2739. could not access javascript

I am trying to install Channel 4 on demand service 4oD on to a new laptop that I have bought which is running on Windows Vista. Everything is working fine and suddenly I am getting some kind of an error message at the time of installation that says " Error 2739. Could not access javascript run time for custom action". Can anyone tell me how do I fix this problem. Thanks.

Even I am getting the same problem with the error code. But I am getting the error if I am trying to run the maintenance update. Has anyone found any solution to fix this issue? Thanks.

Can you try to run regsvr32 jscript.dll with the administrative rights on your computer and see if that helps. To do the same follow the below method:

1. First of all click on Start menu and then click All Programs.
2. After that click Accessories and then right-click Command Prompt and choose Run as administrator from the shortcut menu.
3. Now you will see the User Account Control dialog, just click Continue.
4. After that at the command prompt type the following:
   regsvr32 vbscript.dll
5. And then press Enter on your keyboard.
6. Now you will get a message that would say that "DllRegisterServer in vbscript.dll succeeded."
7. Click OK and the issue will be fixed.
