MOV files not working in Movie Maker
I have a Windows XP Desktop running with Windows XP Home edition. We recently bought a JVC Video Camcorder before going on the trip. Now we have around 50 videos recorded with the same in .MOV file extension. I want to make a final movie with all these clips but my Movie Maker is not ready to import those files. Neither it is giving me any error message so that I can work out on the same. Can anyone please tell me what could be the problem? Many Thanks.
Re: MOV files not working in Movie Maker
Probably that could be because of codec issues. Which codec do you have on the system? Also let me tell you that Windows Movie Maker wont support all video formats. Hence I think MOV is not compatible. What you can do is download/install Video converter software, convert your raw MOV files into WMV and then try importing the same. It will work.
Re: MOV files not working in Movie Maker
Hello Bennett, the problem is due to incompatibility. Actually the mov files are compatible with QuickTime player and no Windows Movie Maker version will support it. Hence what you need to do is download retail version of Apple
QuickTime Pro and convert the files to a WMM compatible format such as WMV You can download the same from here http://www.apple.com/quicktime/pro/
