FAILED TO INSTALL Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework, Version 2.0 (KB928365)
Hi,
After many successful updates on my properly registered XP laptop over
a number of years I get a message this one Security Update for
Microsoft .NET Framework, Version 2.0 (KB928365) is failing to be
updated, any reason why please, I tried switching my commodo firewall
and avg antivirus off, and trying it again but still with no success.
Thanks Si.

Uninstall .NET, reinstall .NET, install the updates.

Re: FAILED TO INSTALL Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework
Should uninstall through 'Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs'.
Althought some have claimed success with this procedure, it didn't work for
me anyways. I uninstalled/reinstalled and tried the update again but the
results were the same. 0x643 error code.

Re: FAILED TO INSTALL Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework
I had problems installing .net framework updates this month too.
Uninstalled everthing .net wise to no effect, but eventually got updates to
install by exiting a number of non-essential application in the system tray
(including virus, firewall and anti-spyware).
Now all updates are in place, but I wasted a load of time unistalling, etc
for no reason...
