Windows Installer Ends Abuptly - Error 2932
I updated my Windows XP to Service Pack 2 about a month ago. Installed all required softwares and drivers and until last week everything was working fine. Suddenly I started getting error with my Windows Installer v3.1. Now whenever I try to install any exe file on this system, it goes upto 95% and then I get the following error message:
“Product: ______. The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2932.”
It use to have a URL saying ‘check for more help’ but when I go there I don’t find anything useful. So far I have tried re-installing Windows Installer, I tried running Microsoft Cleanup Utility, but no help. Can anyone please tell me what is wrong?
