windows 98 floppy disk version
Need a bit suggestion from you all. I’m having a Windows 98CD version. Don’t know for what reason my laptop wont boot from a CD. I tried to work it out but wasn’t able to make it in any way. So I wanted to know is there any way we can get Windows 98 on Floppy Disk? If yes, please let me know how.
Thank you.
Re: windows 98 floppy disk version
The best way I can suggest you is if you have any windows 98 working PC, simply create a Emergency Boot Disk on the same and boot to that floppy and choose CD Rom support in the menu that appears. Now as the boot disk create a RAMDISk, you will be able to run the Setup program off the cd which btw is typically E.
Other than you can use any CD writing application that is able to create a bootable CD from a Windows Emergency Boot Disk. And if you are not able to use a floppy drive, you can simply make a bootable CD version of the EBD and use that.
Re: windows 98 floppy disk version
Can you tell me if your laptop or desktop is having both floppy and CD drive? If yes, then simply visit the following location http://www.bootdisk.com/bootdisk.htm and make a bootable Win98 floppy. You can use this to start the system, then ‘select Start with Cd’, insert windows installation and press setup.
