Office 2007 via GP - config.xml help
Though I know Microsoft has limited support for office 2007 GP deployment but still I want to install Office using group policy on my network. For doing this I already created a GPO and edited the config.xml file in \Enterprise.WW. Now what the problem am facing is I have set not to install Access in my OptionState settings but the setup installs it including all my other Office apps. Why is it ignoring my OptionState settings?
According to the log file, installation IS reading config.xml and picks up settings before and after the OptionState settings. But ignores the OptionState. I have enough searches and researches regarding this in last two days but dint got anything working.
Anyone having ideas about this ?

RE: Office 2007 via GP - config.xml help
As far as I know (I’ve installed hundreds of Office 2007 on GPO) when you use MSI for installing Office 2007, all options are ignored though you have configured config.xml anyhow. The only thing I can tell you is you must run the installation from setup.exe if you want to effect your changes. And this is only possible using Group Policy via Logon Script or Startup.
