How to delete Lan connection in Vista
I have recently purchased a new Dell system and it was setup on a high speed Lan connection. But now I want to set up a dial-up connection and it will not let me do that? All it says is that it is not able to detect my internal dial-up modem, I guess that it is still reading the lan connection but I am not able to delete it now? So, can anyone tell me how to delete this connection? Thanks
Re: How to delete Lan connection in Vista
You will not be able to delete the network adapter for the Lan, but you will be able to disable it by right clicking on it. But I think that you are having some other kind of problems and for that we will need more information. You told us that when you try to setup a dialup connection then the system tells you that it is not able to detect your modem? So did you check that the modem show up in the Device Manager? If it is listed then tell us what do you see next to it?

Thanks, I will try to do what you have said, but for disabling the lan connection, it will not let me to, I have also turned off UAC, so I will turn it back on with the admin rights and check if it will let me to or not. I will post back the reports laters.
